Update on Cellphone While Driving Laws
03/16/2010
Ontario drivers are prohibited from using hand-held cell phones and other hand-held electronic entertainment and communications devices while driving.
Several of our customers have already received this ticket which usually carries a $155 fine and does affect your insurance record if your insurer finds out about it. The maximum fine under the legislation is $500 for a first offence. We urge you to turn off your phone or at least use a bluetooth handsfee devise to answer urgent calls while driiving.
